THAILAND TRAVEL BLOG

My first stop traveling around Asia during my trip around the world was Thailand. I had previously visited Phuket before and my parents who visit Thailand every year strongly advised me to see other parts of Thailand as well. And it was so worth it. I love the people, the food and the fact that everything is so cheap.

Find out more about Thailand by reading about my itineraries, experiences and local travel tips below.

Things to Do in Thailand

During my trip around the world I got to visit the bustling capital of Bangkok for 5 days including a day trip to Ayutthaya.

If you are wondering what to do on a day trip to Ayutthaya from Bangkok check out my post: My Historical Ayutthaya Day Trip from Bangkok

I also explored the northern part of Thailand where Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai are located.

Local Travel Tips

By the way, were you wondering how to get from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, the old capital? I recommend taking the train. It’s cheap, convenient und actually not as uncomfortable as you might think. But there are many alternatives for every budget. Taking a bus, minivan, private taxi or doing a tour. The options seem endless. You can read more about your options in my post: Taking the Train from Bangkok to Ayutthaya for Almost Nothing
